KTo's Workout Log

It's about time I started one of these jawns...

Promise no other entries will be this long!

Bit of history-
2009
BW 155 @ 5'6 ish
Started CrossFit in late spring
Was Vegan when I started
Reaffirmed that was a terrible idea- ate a delicious cheesteak
Decided to go Paleo
Decided to go Paleo + Beer- Fail.

2010
BW 155
Paleo + Beer( I was determined to make this work)
Got a few kipping pull ups- no dead hang... lolz.
DL- 235 C&J 95, Snatch- Hilarious 83, Press 73, OHS 75, FS- 130, BS 165
Was completing some RX'd WODs
Competed in Regionals on Steve's Club team- found out I had a horrible stripper-*** snatch
Bit by a tick - Lyme Disease Round 2(Chronic Lyme in 1992- keeping it old school)
Went to 2010 Games for work & support qualifying team
Paleo + Beer
August - 2011 Battled with lyme & drama...lost some interest maybe did 15 WODs over those few months.

2011
BW 152
Spring-New Job/ Switched training to CrossFit 1 Force
Lost strength from time off-
DL- 215 C&J 95, Snatch- 80 still hilarious, Press 70?, OHS 75, FS- 130, BS 135
August- Started coaching/shadowing Jesse Crespo & Erin Kelly
Paleo + FODMAPs
BW 145 + 3 dead hang pull ups??? haha

Justin McGinely cracked a egg of strength knowlege on me with Wendler's 5/3/1/
Did 2 cycles with small short heavy metcons & tons of prowler work for fun
BW hovering around 141
End of 5/3/1 cycles- Dl- 265 C&J 110, Snatch- 80 still hilarious, Press 80?, OHS 95, FS- 135(hate), BS 165 22lb weighted Dead Hang x 3 Ring Dips X3!

During 5/3/1 I kicked my metcon habit

ENTER OLY CAMP<3
With Jim Rutter at CrossFit Center City
6 weeks 4-5 classes a week/ 2 hours a class
Each day we Snatch, Clean ( Jerk 2 days a week) BS or FS
Paleo+ FODMAP + MEAT after Oly
BW between 135-138

Coming up on our last week
Monday( last night)
BW 137
Snatch - 95- Failed over back MULTIPLE times @99 sdklfjahsldjkfh working sets at 90lbs
C&J- 134- Failed at 139 on jerk working sets around 125-130
Clean - 141
BS-200
FS 158 x 3-lolz

We've got 2 days left& I want that 99 or 100lbs snatch & 141 C&J

Continuing OLY into next cycles I'm in love<3
Training for 1st meet in February

This was mine.

I've found that while I want to be that person that enjoys a cold beer every now and again, I very rarely have the urge to actually take a beer out of fridge.

Haha it's terrible, I feel the same way. This time of year used to be my favorite beer season and I'm barely drinking them. It's for the better- although I was a bit disappointed in myself when I couldn't finish a delicious coffee stout last week...

Oh well..

Wooo double PR Oly day!

Snatch
95lbs was fast & easy( finally working sets in the 90-95lbs range consistently!)

hit a PR of 97lbs!

Failed at 101lbs x 5 attempts
2 fails happened over the back
3 happened in the bottom - just gotta stay tight and be ready to catch!

Since we're maxing out this week I"m hoping to nail the 101lbs tomorrow

Clean
Whooooooo!

Was definitely feeling this today not nearly fatigued as I was Monday.

Pr- 143 (6lbs over BW!)
Jim said the clean looked good- gotta work on my squat strength( story of my life)

Best part of the night-Pr'ing my clean then YELLING- I WANT IT TO BE PRETTIER!!!!!

Last day of 6 Week Oly Cycle
I'll be keeping up through December then starting the next cycle in January.
Can't wait

So today
Snatch failed at 101lbs & 97lbs
Most were in the catch or over the back
I'm not as frustrated as I thought I'd be, because I'm consitstiantly hitting that 95lbs with the quickness... good stuff

C&J
PR'd with 62kg orrr 136.68
Failed at 64kg ( i think) or 141lbs on my head on the 2nd attempt haha

Before OLY
Snatch PR( and it was a struggle) 85lbs
Now- 97lbs- working sets 90-95lbs
C&J 110lbs
Now- 136.68

OLY
I didn't write too much down to post on here today I'm slacking

Hips were super tight
Snatch was wonky worked up to a few at 42kg meehhh
Clean- worked up to a few singles at 62kg
Felt fast- need to work on meeting the bar

Despite the rest & meh workout day today- I did eat asparagus wrapped in prosciutto twice this weekend- so I'll bank this as a WIN!
