Speed ropes

Hey folks,
Quick question as it relates to speed ropes for double-unders. I have never used one and they seem crazy light. In the past, I have used a traditional jump rope with great success for increasing cardio. Until I can successfully string together enough double-unders for a cardio workout, can they be used as a traditional jump rope or are they specifically designed for speed.

Hey Mike. They can be used for singles, doubles, and even triples! Just get used to some welts on your forearms during the learning phase lol. It'll get better.
