Come witness sub-6:00 2Ks and other physical feats, or better yet, put yourself to the test! The CRASH-B's are cheap ($25 for competitors, free admission for spectators), open to people of all ages and abilities (including people with disabilities, in fact) and have a great atmosphere.

There are dozens of affiliates within driving distance, but only a few CFers registered to date. What's stopping you?

I am planning on rowing the Satillite Qualifier in Seattle on Jan 30th. I can't pull a Sub-6. But if I can pull a 6:40 I will be pretty happy.

Everybody should at least check out thier regionals.

The fastest growing population of indoor rowing competitors are CrossFitters. The CRASH-B's - the World Indoor Rowing Championships are great - but there are regional qualifying regattas all over the US too. Winners from the bigger, better events that are certified by Concept 2 have their way paid to Boston in February. The Seattle Qualifying event is called Ergomania! and is held on January 30th this year at Seattle University's Connolly Center. See http://www.nwergomania.org There are at least eight CrossFit Teams entered in the Seattle event, plus teams of Firefighters, Marines, and others, plus individuals in 1 hour, 30 minute, 2k, and 1k events for Juniors, Open, and Masters events. The reigning master's women's world champion, Luann Mills, is a Seattlite, and last year all four of the C-2 funded Seattle athletes made the final and placed.
