Question Sectionals Question...

At the sectionals, roughly how many events will be involved? Also, any idea how eliminations will be done? Thanks

i think it's likely going to be on a sectional by sectional basis. I assume that the host affiliates are programming again, since there's been no evidence to the contrary

Re: Sectionals Question...

I expect that the events and formats of the Sectional Qualifiers will be entirely up to the host of each competition, just as the format for last years Regional Qualifiers were purely at the discretion of the respective event directors. For evidence of this I would point to the fact that some of this years Sectionals appear to be only one day competitions, whereas others are two days. I doubt any of them will consist of less than three events, with some of the two day competitions possibly consisting of up to seven or eight.

Re: Sectionals Question...

I had assumed that the two or even three day sectionals were not due to having more events than the other sectionals, but to having to accomodate more athletes in their respective locations.
