Re: INOV-8 F-lite 230s

Based on this thread the only difference is the color scheme.

Re: INOV-8 F-lite 230s

What about as compared to the 220s? My Nike Free 3.0s lasted all of two months, so ready to try a shoe with less drop and, hopefully, more durability.

Would the Inov-8 230 be good for running 5 miles on dirt and gravel trail also was told they fit a narrow foot.

Re: INOV-8 F-lite 230s

I just ordered my pair! It took me 2 days searching online for a retailer with my size but I found one! http://daddyultraruns.com/ (WFS) I talked to the owner and they seem to have a lot of sizes in stock.

I have found that INOV-8s in general fit pretty true to size. I usually wear a 10 and have a slightly wide foot. I currently have the 220s (majority of my running is urban) in a 10 (they are a bit snug--if my foot was more narrow, they would fit perfectly).

Now, that I think about it, this post may not be that useful since you asked about the 230s ...

Re: INOV-8 F-lite 230s

I've owned a pair of 230s for one month now, and here's my review:

Highs: They're light, they fit true to size, and they look freakin' sweet.
Lows: The knobby tread takes some getting used to in terms of stability, and if you're currently using a truely FLAT soled shoe, you'll feel like there's a wedge under your heel.

If the WOD involves linear running or box jumps in a couplet, I do like the 230s.

If the WOD involves a couplet or triplet that doesn't have running, or it's an oly day, I still prefer my beat-down Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81s. They also won't EVER get torn up from rope climbs.

That's my $.02 on the 230s vs. the Ultimate 81s.

Re: INOV-8 F-lite 230s

I know that this is a really old thread but it helped me getting the correct sizing for the Inov-8 230's. I usually wear an 8.5 US Mens in a Nike Free Run and an 8.0 US Mens in a Nike Romaleo. I bought the 8.5 US Mens in the Inov-8 230's and they fit perfectly. Hope this helps.
