Re: Gyms in Austin,TX

Ryan,

If you are looking to buy some bumpers, I have had a set of Hi-Temps from Rogue Fitness for about 3 months. I spent about $600 on the set (210 lb set with an HD bar). Shipping is free. I picked Rogue because they are the organization that is outfitting the USMC with Crossfit equipment. As a former Devil Dog myself, that sealed the deal.

You can also try ProMaxima out of Houston. I bought some squat stands and a weight tree from them. They gave me a public safety discount (firefighter). Ask for Tommy. Good luck and Semper Fi!!!

Re: Gyms in Austin,TX

I actually found an affiliate really close to me. I didn't know the names of the surrounding towns yet so when I looked at the affiliate site I had no clue that one was so close. I joined up yesterday and still plan to fill in the gaps with what I have at home. I would love to buy some bumpers but I will have to wait a little while to buy them. If Rouge Fitness is a USMC supporter then they are the supplier for me. Semper Fi!

Ryan,

I know you said you're up north, but I highly recommend CrossfitAustin if you ever are down south. Even if you can't join, check out the website for free events and fun stuff!

Old thread, I know, but there's also now Crossfit Leander. I just started there a few weeks ago. They're off to a very good start.
