Really happy with my new rope. Got a speed rope from Rogue. This was my first time doing double-unders. I got my first 50 in a row. That's a PR for me. Second set sucked. Third set got a little better. Fourth set was good.

I'm a little sad about my workout today.

I have been neglecting my strength work lately, so I just did a day of squats, deads, and press. 3x3 of everything. I expected squats to suck. Only hit 205. I could have probably gone a bit heavier, but I really hate squatting. Deads were "fine". I did 245 and had room for more. What shocked me was how rough my press was. I hit 125 and it was pretty tough. I'm hoping I haven't dropped THAT much muscle while my weight is coming down.

Anyway

3x3 Back Squat - 205
3x3 Deadlift - 245
3x3 Press - 125

I've recently upped my warmup.

3 Rounds
120 single-unders
12 shoulder rolls w/ PVC
12 good mornings w/ PVC
12 OHS w/ PVC
12 situps
12 pushups
12 pullups (blue band)

Then I did 3x3 power cleans at 155

Then 10 Rounds
5 burpees
5 pushups
10 grasshoppers

12:39

Looked easier on paper. Shoulders are dead.

50-40-30-20-10 Double unders and situps

9:43. One second slower than previous. I'm okay with that.

Double unders were really good except for my last set of 10. I just couldn't get them. After the workout, I picked up the rope and nailed 32 without a problem. Just one of those things, I guess.

Heh, well, I had my numbers in my head wrong from last week's deadlift. I wanted to up it by 10 lbs and thought I did 265 last week.

So, I did 275 3x3. Hard, but good.

Then I did

21-15-9
95lb thrusters
lateral bar-over burpees

Killed me. After my decent Fran performance last week I was looking forward to this. I was in bad shape 5 thrusters in. I went into the workout fasted which is usually okay for me, but I also haven't fasted in 3-4 weeks. Might have hurt me. Time was 12:15.

4 rounds
400m run
15 pullups (tall rack, blue band)
20 burpees

For the first time, I can say that the burpees were the easiest part. If I didn't stop, I didn't get tired. The runs were difficult. I stopped on my last 2 runs to walk for about 30 feet. The Texas heat is brutal this year.

Fun workout today.

4 rounds.

3 minutes of:
400m + reps of dips, pushups, K2E, then pullups.
1 minute rest between

Got 20 dips, 25 pulups, 15 K2E, 11 pullups with blue band.

Run times were 1:48, 1:45, 1:43, 1:47

Not happy with my workout today. I just couldn't get into it an smooth out.

12 mins AMRAP
15 OHS at 75lbs (scaled from 100)
Bar over burpees

Got 3 full rounds plus OHS and 5 burpees.

Pretty good workout today.

The workout was:

13 minute time cap

25 deads at 220
25 box jumps - 24 inch
50 pushups

20 deads at 220
20 box jumps - 24 inch
40 pushups

15 deads
15 box jumps
30 pushups

10, 10, 20

5, 5, 10

Got through the first full round and then 38/40 of the pushups at the end of the second round. Pretty good stuff. I really wanted to get into that third round, but I'm pretty happy.
