Re: cheap vibram knock offs

Get sized for Vibrams at a store, buy them online for much cheaper.

me too dude. Personally, I try to save up and get what I really want and not go for the quick solution of buying the cheaper version, but that's me . Again, I really suggest at least looking for a pair of second-hand-VFFs (if the idea doesn't disgust you). Some people just don't like them and sell them on sites like e-bay (or even on this message board). That way you get the actual product you want and save some money. But the other folks here have suggested plenty of great options, so I hope you find something that works for you .

Re: cheap vibram knock offs

Strong second for aqua socks. I wear them for my warm-up and for the metcon portion of most of my workouts. Off the top of my head, the benefits are: 1. cost $5 instead of $80-$100; 2. easier to take on and off; 3. same benefit as vibram in regards to teaching running mechanics.

Also, you can wear regular socks with them. Vibrams get the shoe funk real bad, prompting you to buy/wear toe socks to manage it.
