Regionals question??

I'm heading up to the north east regional this year. The ticket I purchased says "no outside food or beverages" but when I watched a video of last years north east regional it looked like people were tailgating before a football game. Was anyone there last year and can anyone provide some info on it. Thanks.

Re: Regionals question??

I can't comment on that particular regional, but here are a few thoughts to consider:

1) If the venue has changed since last year, the policies for (or agreement with) the new location may dictate the rule you have mentioned. Hence, the video from last year would essentially be irrelevant.

2) Maybe consider contacting the organizers to ask for clarification. Rules are rules though, and it's probably unlikely that "but they did it last year" will carry any weight with the organizers at all.

Can you tailgate outside in the parking lot (like you would before a football game)?

Re: Regionals question??

website seems a little light on information as well-

For the third straight year we will be right on Reebok's Headquarters! Staying outdoors with an amazing community is what allows the Northeast Regional year after year to maintain that "old school" feel.

Parking is not a problem, tons of bleacher space, a huge tent city, and great vendor area guarantees that the Northeast will not only be a tight competition but a great spectator experience!

Re: Regionals question??

There should be a facebook page for the North East Regionals. I'd ask on there.

Re: Regionals question??

Does anyone know how many are going to be in Regionals for individual male and female? It seems as though they are inviting two less than has declined for the second invite wave. This would bring total athletes down to 46 instead of 48.

Re: Regionals question??

Last year they shrank the size of the actual competition area, opened up an area for food vending and added the area for tents. There was no one checking bags cooler etc. You could bring whatever you want. However, due to the increasing attendance they may be cutting down on what people can bring. Now in light of recent events I will almost guarantee that security is tightened there and they will be searching everything you bring in.
