Party at Jay's, Pittsbrugh/Grove City area

I'm cross posting, I admit it, but very few people read the thread in searching for crossfitters. Anyway, I'm trying so set up a party/cookout/WOD at Jay Cohen's place about 1.5 hours from Pittsburgh. Jay will be preparing some delicous meat (big suprise) to include some organ meats (bigger suprise) and may even include some chimp meat . If you want to go, you let me know a few weekends that would work for you. Everyone must bring a dish to share or chip in some cash.

I'm also inviting a few guys from the Pittsburgh Barbell Club Weighlifting Team.

Plenty of meat for all, plus new grill.
Should be a good time, just need to set a date. My July/August is wide open.

Darn, I wish I wouldn't be in instructor training at that time, I'd head up there.

Roo and Emu are very good in my opinion.

Sounds like a good time to me! I'd be great to meet some crossfitters, as I've not really met many since I do the WOD on my own.

Plus, I love the sound of the meat

Bringing a side dish or cash would work.

Most any date should be fine for me.

Just a suggestion, but we could always do a WOD together beforehand or not...

Yes, the plan was to do a WOD at Jay's first. He informs me has all the implements for torture.. er training that we need. Then would be eating, socailizing, and I'm sure a fair amount of "you can do x, eh, I bet I could do x faster/with more weight". It could get interesting.

Jay, I'm trying to get Reg from Pitt BBC Weight Lifting to come down. He wanted to know what you were up to and why he hasn't seen you. He thought you had soured on O-lifting.

I'd love to take Jay up on that offer and especially for the chance drag the new wife up and scare her half to death with what we call "food" but all the cool stuff always happens when the Army has me! I'll be trying to survive the 90% humidity, 100+ degree weather, and fire ants at Ft. Benning for BOLC II (officer basic training).

Eat some tongue for me!

Okay, I'm thinking either the 12th or the 19th. Get to jay's around 11 (that means leving pittsburgh by 9:30).

Darren, just because you can't make it should not effect your wife's desire to attend, train, meet some cool folks. I'll send her Google Map to my place, save her some smoked tongue. Tell me she won't jump at that offer..

Both dates work for me. On the 12th, I have a Diabetes Fund raiser to attend, but not until 5:00

We could do a WOD for 30/45 minutes, I'll have the grill started, eat around 1:00.

We can train outside, thinking Tire Flip. Farmers Walk. Box Jump, Slam Ball, KB Swings or One Arm Walking Lunges w/KB, Pull Ups, the possibilities are limitless.

I'll have Goat, Beef, Lamb and Pork.

Only in America can we have this much fun....................

BTW, I'm about 20 minutes off I 80, last exit in PA. 1.5 hours from Cleveland, 1 hour from the Burgh.
