I was just reading the posts about Scott not being able to do as many pullups as before. What is an adaptogen and what is it supposed to do?

An adaptogen helps you recover faster or "adapt" to stress. The most reliable adaptogen is doing the WOD and increasing your work capacity/GPP/fitness. Incidentally, AAS fall into the adaptogen category (for info purposes only)...
