I'm currently at 20 blocks with approx. 46 blocks of fat. I've been maintaining at around 155-157lbs.

I'd like to boost up my blocks to 22 to add some lean muscle mass and wanted to make sure the following approach was the adequate one.

Add two additional blocks (at 22) and push back my fat intake to 22 as well... give my body time to adjust (a few weeks) and begin adding fat blocks to increase caloric intake, correct?

There is no "rule" for Zone bulking. Robb or Greg implied that the next Performance Menu may address the topic though. Are you lean, like single digit bodyfat lean? If so just try adding more food somehow and make sure to keep track of what happens. Most sources indicate that to gain muscle mass you need significant calories. You are currently at 20 blocks at about 2x fat I believe. I would just go up to 22 blocks and stay at 2x fat and see what happens. If nothing happens in two weeks go up to 3x fat or 24 blocks. I really haven't found anything that works well but I also haven't been consistant recently as my scale broke. Let me know if you find a better approach.

After my body found its preferred weight, I found trying to jam enough calories down to gain weight made me feel uncomfortable and was plain too much work for the perceived benefit. Just had to throw that in there.
