I didn't like the former bar I had so after thinking it over, this came to mind. It's 10' long and 8.5' off the ground. There's a bit of flex in it but still very solid. The greatest probability of failure would be that the lags would pull out from the header, not very likely though. The design works well in this application since the gas fittings allow the support arms to articulate about in such a way as to allow mounting in 360 degrees about the upper flanges. Kinda like Tinkertoys!

I'm in an apartment right now, but as soon as I move into a house again I am completely stealing this design. Truly awesome!

Frank you may as well begin your own affiliate. You are way out in front in terms of your garage gym. Where did you get your bars and bumpers?

Go for it John, I owe it to others here anyways!

Joe, got the bumpers from Gill's with a bar, bought another set of iron & bar from someone off craigslist, as well as the dip rack in the background plus 760lbs of dbs from craigslist also.

I'm way too busy with marriage, a newborn at home, and prepping for my state engineer's license next year to even think of anything else right now. Being an affiliate would be a good thing though, for someone with the time & $$ to get started.

Anytime you want to work out let me know but there are waivers to sign
