is it still ok strictly speaking to have shakes with milk in them.

i have 2-3 daily with skim milk or should i just eat the powder!(cant stand the taste in water)

Mathew- I am assuming the powder is some kind of whey right? Still dairy so IMO if you do not have any adverse reactions(GI disturbance, runny nose, fuzzy headed) after drinking this stuff go for it. Like I mentioned in another post chew your shake...it will digest better. From a strict paleo perspective dairy is off the menu but so long as none of the above symptoms arise and you do not have a history of autoimmune disease in your family it should not be a problem.

not sure wat u mean about chewing it ,i assume this means having as little milk as possible?

No, sorry...really chew it even though it is a liquid. This will release significantly more digestive enzymes and you will actually digest more of the meal. Mixing it a little on the thin side is actually good for preventing a hyperosmotic state condition. Ie the runs!
