Re: Update - 15 month progress pictures

Thank you for sharing these pics, Jennie. These will be great to show women skeptical about CF

Re: Update - 15 month progress pictures

Awh shucks...thanks!

Here's the rundown on my ladies:

Angie: 27:40 (this workout makes my hands bleed EVERY time)
Barbara: 36:37
Fran: 9:37
Helen: 13:04 - (I couldn't even COMPLETE this workout at my level 1 cert. They cut us off at 29 minutes, and I wasn't even 1/2 way through my jumping pull-ups on the 3rd round.)
Karen: 10:07

AND - I can do 25 consecutive kipping pull-ups! I've made it a goal for this year to do a muscle up, and make it up to 30 pull-ups.

Awesome job Jennie, you're loooking great.

Last night was the first time I did Angie as rx'd and it made my hands bleed for the first time, instead of just rip. I was so excited just to do it as rx' though!

Jennie,

Great job! Your "before" stats (height/weight) are about where I am now, so I will be using your success as inspiration.

Re: Update - 15 month progress pictures

Jennie,
Your first testimonial a couple months ago was one of the best sources of inspiration for me as a newbie. I've since lost 10 lbs or so, and my girls have improved dramatically. Yesterday I was doing a relay at the affiliate with a newbie and just thinking to myself that that was me a couple months ago. Scaling everything, having to walk, etc.

I'll throw up my own testimonial in a few months, but I just wanted to let you know how great it is that you threw yourself out there like that. This is exactly what newb CF women need to see (that and the corresponding performance stuff as well). Awesome work, and thanks again!

Re: Update - 15 month progress pictures

Great job!

Just wanted to add that I would def not be dissappointed that your body comp has not changed that much in the last 5 months. You are right, the last couple %'s are much harder. BUT, obviously your fitness has improved dramatically, it was freaking winter!, and you did not go backwards (like everyone else does over the holidays and winter). I would be very proud. Now you have a great jumping point to lose whatever you want before the summer when most of us are starting from scratch, like me! And, you look fab anyway.

Good job.

Amazing pics.
I'm just starting this thing and trying to talk my wife into it as well. These will help.

Awh, thanks Lauren! When I first posted my testimonial, I sat there STARING IN HORROR at the pictures of myself I was about to post for the entire crossfit community to see. Fortunately, I can look back and be shocked at how much back fat I had instead of looking at old pictures and wishing I could be "fit" again. I have lots of CrossFit ladies at my gym who think longingly back to a "fitter" time in their lives. Fortunately they're on the path to improving their overall health and as a byproduct their appearance!

Keep up the good work Lauren! You're on the road to becoming a firebreather!
