Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

Thanks for the polite offer. I am gonna sit this one out. Make sure you start another and I will be sure to jump in. Maybe a 135# Thruster Challenge. That should help my Fran Time.
Good Luck

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

Steve: 135# thruster challenge sounds like a good idea. I need a lot of Fran help. Add one every other day for recovery. 13 days left on this challenge; can't wait.

Clay: I skipped a couple days early on to coinside with my normal workout sched but had heck of a time with makeups, so now I burpup every day but maintain my regular workout schedule at a lighter load until this is over.

Okay,
I will be looking for that Thruster Challenge to start in 2 or 3 weeks. Say Mon, Wed, Fri for one month go up by 3's. We will end up at 36 at the end of the month. For time. LOL

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

I think if our goal was to prepare for an improved Fran, then we should work toward 21+15+9=45 thrusters for time as one of the two requirements of Fran. Increasing 3 each workout (Mon, Thurs, Sat for me) would only take 5 weeks. Sounding better?

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

i like the fran challenge! but i think we could step up the intensity:

mon, wed, fri, = #135 thrusters (+3 a workout)
tue, thur, sat = pull ups (+3 a workout)
sun = rest

after we get to 45 reps we can take a few days off then go for a PR in fran that sunday. personally i would like to start this challenge october 6th since that is the day after my triathlon i have been training for.

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

today (34) + previous (272) = total (306)

i coupled this with a 1.5 mile run. it was a nice combo.

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

day 18x2 = 36 burpups in 10:02; slower but after oly and squats

I like the idea of a Fran-quest to do 3+ thruster and pullup but combined each workout. Last Fran I did Mar31 with 2x35# db in 18:40, so I need a lot of help here.

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

today (36) + previous (306) = total (342)

i coupled this with xfit hero WOD 'michael' and it was probably a bad idea.

Re: 30 day: burpee to pull up challenge (+2 a day)

day 19x2 = 38 burpups in 10:52 as 8x4+6

a bit slower than yesterday but I'm still hangin in there, pushin' and a pullin'
I'm taking a lot of break time so eventually this could go a lot faster.
