Does anyone have an opinion, either positive or negative, on the supplement DHEA? I understand that some have said that long term use may lead to a greater incidence of cancer. I haven't seen or heard anything conclusively either way and am curious to hear from others.

DHEA is several steps up the cascade from testosterone and estrogen and can be turned into either depending upon the conditions. DHEA CAN be a growth promoter...like all things in this area it is poorly understood however. I rely on a paleo/zone diet and the neuro-endocrine response from crossfit to keep hormone status at optimal levels. I would not recomend tinkering with the stuff but if you do, get an accurate blood test and supplement at the lowest dose possible to begin...work with a physician/nurse prac who is savy to this stuff.
Good luck!
