Re: power snatch check

it seems like the bar hit you at the top of the thigh instead of the "crease" maybe causing a little trouble on bar path...also maybe try thinking of scooping the bar so to speak on the end of last pull in stead of trying to fight to keep it close...pull bar apart up top and keep shoulders engaged to get good lock out
not to shabby crossfit friend

Re: power snatch check

It's gonna be a bit funky on carpet because the floor absorbs some of the take off push of the feet into the floor.

Decent all in all considering no shoes on a carpet floor.

Re: power snatch check

Not bad, John. As Blaise pointed out, try to keep that bar path closer to your body by shrugging and high pulling in towards your ribcage before you snatch it overhead.

Also, focus on trying to lock in your ribcage to your pelvis throughout the movement. There's a little bit of wobble in your lower lumbar as you're stabilizing the bar overhead. Won't be an issue at light weight, but as it gets heavy, the wobble will take its toll on your low back. Kelly Starrett talks a lot about this in his Mobility WOD's.
