Re: New start, new log.

11/11/11

2 hours of snowboarding to start off the morning.

Then, went to the Mountain fitness center for some strength work.

Power cleans 5x3@140#
Deadlift 1x5@325#
Press 3x5@115#
Pullups 6/5/5 dead hang to full extension with pause at the bottom.

I like that gym, definitely going there again.

Re: New start, new log.

11/12/11 - 2 hours of snowboarding. Today is my anniversary so the rest of the day belongs to my wife. She should be up and around by now.

Re: New start, new log.

11/24/2011 pre-forging-on-turkey workout.

Michael: 25:14

I know I've done this faster, but I'm happy with my performance.

Re: New start, new log.

Went back and dug through my old log to find my last 'Michael' time, which was 21:44. So, my strength is almost back to where it was, but my speed and conditioning have a way to go. I was planning on focusing more on conditioning during snowboarding season anyway, so that sort of reinforces that need, I guess.

Re: New start, new log.

11/25/2011

Warmup: cfwu x2, easy pace 400m in 2:13

Workout:
Front squats 5x45#, 5x135#, 2x185#, 3x5@155#
Bench press 10x45#, 5x135#, 3x5@170#!
25# weighted pullups 5, 4, 4

WOD: 21-15-9 of
55# db swings, 16" box jumps
Time: 3:52

A couple of comments:
Rack is my big weakness for front squats, need to get flexible.
16" is as tall as I can stack the crappy stepper at the globo.
I'm way happy with bench. Almost to bodyweight sets!

Re: New start, new log.

11/26/2011

Snowboarding for 2.5 hours. The front squats yesterday affected me more than I thought they would, quads were burning.

Working on the cabin for the rest of the day.

Re: New start, new log.

11/27/2011

6 am run, 2.5 miles in 25:51. At 27 farenheit at altitude, went better than I anticipated. Not fast, but I already knew my conditioning needed work.
