Re: What's your equipment wishlist ?

I recently purchased a new house and had my second kid, so money is tight. For that reason, my wish list is pretty light.
  • Rogue ES-1 Squat Stand (to replace paint buckets, 2x4, and cement)
  • Cheap PVC rings (to replace my home-made PVC rings)
And since 3 ships free, I added the following from Rogue to go with my squat stand:
  • Perchmount Fit
  • Rogue wrist wraps
  • Voodoo floss bands

Since I don't have any home equipment at the moment, i'll just start by saying the top 5 things for myself:

- Pendlay Colour Comp bumpers 300-370KG worth with Pendlay bar or a Texas Power Bar
- EliteFTS Collegiate adjustable bench
- RML-690 or EFS Collegiate rack
- Rogue or EFS GHD (with split pad, funny enough I used one the other day and my junk liked me more for it).
- Powerblock DBs up to 125

So lets hear it everyone!!
Great list.

Have you considered the Iron Master DB's instead of the Powerblocks? Ironmasters feel more solid like a dumbbell but take more time to change then the powerblocks. I have a 50lb set of Powerblocks and Ironmasters that can go up to 120 or 130. Now I just use the Powerblocks for little stuff and really like the Ironmasters. Maybe you can't get them up in Canada?

Re: What's your equipment wishlist ?

I guess if I had to pick something got would be a set of elite plates (brand isn't much of an issue for me). Heavy weight without such huge thickness.

When you squat 450+ you run out of room on the bar and have to start using metal which I hate. Only have spring collars and hate dropping on those.

It looks even nastier when some of the stronger guys try to dead lift and your strapping 500+ on and using bands to help hold
It on.

My budget is shot (picked up 2 25kg bumpers from mdusa because of deal)

Sadly 5 kids costs too much to commit to gear I use and train high school kids on just to give them a manly influence in their lives (do a lot of ministry with teens). Sadly 80% of these boys don't have a father who is present in their life.

A buddy of mine is about to start working with some college boys and we are talking about trying to work out sharing for a few extra bars

Re: What's your equipment wishlist ?

A new bar is on my Christmas list this year. Nothing wrong with my old bars, just bent and well used, and I want a new one.

A C2 rower would be nice. Pretty much have everything else. Maybe a small shed or lean-to behind the house beside my outside rig to store my "outside toys" (log, farmers walk weights, sandbags, flipping tire, drag tires, sledge and tires, etc). All of that is taking up a stall in my garage, or gets left outside between workouts, subject to the elements, let alone being unsightly.
