I disagree. Yes the lower back was straight (kinda hard to tell with the belt) but the rest of the back was rounded up until the last few inches of the lift, and you may not think that matters, but others, myself included disagree.

but you gotta give it up for the massive number! i've only pulled 600+ on rack deads.

The **** part was I had brought my camera specifically for that purpose and then in the heat of battle totally forgot about it... Luckily one of the cert participants had his camera and was taking videos!

Chris, you're becoming legitimately competitive.

Maybe if you switched to a mixed grip your grip wouldn't give out! (just kidding)


Also, although I'm about 200lbs below you, my DL is one of my better lifts, and I pull with just as much lower back. It always freaks people out, but my lower back is strong and I haven't felt much soreness even after maxing.
