Question 1-1-1 and 3-3-3 workouts


I've been looking, and think I know what this means, but could someone verify what the repetitions / timing is on these types of workouts (for example today's (2/25/08)).

I think it means 1 rep, rest, 1 rep, rest... but how much rest should be between them?

Usually 3-5 minutes, I take 4, but there is no right answer........whatever length of rest you need to allow yourself to recover for the next lift. Maybe you only need 2 or even 7, but I believe 3-5 is the recommended

in the exercises and demo's section there is a demo of Annie doing this one, and she rested 2min between reps.

its labeled SP1-PP3-PJ5 under WODS. good luck

I do 5 min. The more rest, the more you bias it towards strength (well, beyond ~7 min you start to cool down though). Strength is what the 1-1-1s and 3-3-3s are all about so I would suggest doing at least 3 mins if not up to 5 mins like I do. To keep the workout from getting too long use the 1-2 mins between sets for your WARMUP but not the work sets.

Another question, to calculate a 'score' do you add up the pounds and reps? And where are yesterday's numbers stored? Assuming this is the way you add them up...similar to adding up Lynne numbers?
