Workout Time

I am trying to lose body fat (at 40% now). I've read that its bad to workout in the morning if weight loss is my goal.

D. Do not work out before or after breakfast.
I do Cross Fit 3 times a week, at 7am. I wake up at 6, have 2-3 boiled eggs. Then right after my workout i have a protein drink (35gm protein, 1gm fat, 0gm carb).

My goal is primarily fat/weight loss. Should I change my system of CFing soon after waking up?

Re: Workout Time

6am 7am it doesn't matter. Workout when you like your not going to see any quantifiable results indicating one hour is making a difference in your fat loss goals.

Re: Workout Time

do not listen to anyone if it does not jive with what your body is telling you. If you can get the work done at 6am, fine. if 7am feels better, do that. If the work feels best at **insert time here**, do it then.
there is no best anything for everyone. Do what feels right for you and you will go far.

Re: Workout Time

Going from 3 workouts a week to 4 will make a huge difference compared to things like what time of the day you train.

Paleo + CrossFit 4x week has always shown tremendous results quickly.

Just do it.

Re: Workout Time

Someone way smarter than me once told me, "the best time to workout, is the time that allows you to be consistent and KEEP working out".

Whatever works for YOU and allows you to be consistent and make progress is the best time to workout! Period. If you are a morning person, or your nights are too busy, train when you get up... if its the opposite, train after work or after supper. The ideal time and the time that will get you to where you want to be is the time that allows you to be consistent.

Good luck on your journey!
