Wright Ball Bearing Cable Speed Rope?
Anyone have this rope? Likes/dislikes?
I've narrowed my choices down to: Rx Jump rope ($35) Again Faster Revolution Rope ($25) Wright Ball Bearing Rope ($15) The first two have been discussed ad nauseum but I don't see anything about the Wright rope. Opinions please. Thank you |

Re: Wright Ball Bearing Cable Speed Rope?
Hi,
I have both the Wright and Again Faster. The AF comes with an extra rope, the Wright did not. This was helpful for me because I kept getting bends and kinks in my first speed rope from hitting myself and stepping on it while figuring out DUs. I think the AF rope is slightly heavier or at least it feels that way. For me, this makes it faster because I can use the weight to swing it faster. I bought the Wright rope first but now I exclusively use the AF. My Wright rope is kinked and bent but that is probably my fault, not the ropes. The handles on the Wright are much thicker then the AF. I guess this is personal preference. If I get time today I will take my extra AF rope and put it on my Wright handles to see what happens. I will let you know if I remember this thread. |

Re: Wright Ball Bearing Cable Speed Rope?
Two more questions:
Is the wright rope similar to that in the ultra speed cable at again faster? That cable is a little too light for me. Also, are the end of the cables with the wright rope attached or do they slide freely? With the original ultra speed cable rope when I miss, you have to stop to pull the cable back to the end of the handle. (reading that makes no sense but if you've had it happen you know what i'm talking about) Thank you |

Re: Wright Ball Bearing Cable Speed Rope?
To me the wright rope feels lighter then the again faster rope.
I know what your talking about with the speed rope and the AF one does that. However, the ends of the Wright rope are attached/tightened down by a tiny phillips head screw so they do not slide like the AF rope. |

Re: Wright Ball Bearing Cable Speed Rope?
I just bought 15 Wright ropes. Fast and very light. Quality stuff. Being so light does take some getting used to but every time I pick up a heavier version, I want the Wright back.
