Re: A Bears Tale

Good job here Scott.

I miss those deadlifts, I think I'm going to switch my rest day tomorrow for a max DL day we'll see if it's a good idea.

I'm so glad about our progress in the HSPU's, this is definitely worth a broccolli

What's your 500m PR on the row ? That's a strong 1000m my friend.

Re: A Bears Tale

Thursday 24th April 2008

ANGIE

100 pull-ups
100 push-ups
100 sit-ups
100 squats for time = 15.54 previous 21.55 (before kipping)

Next put my rings up and tried False grip for first time since wrist injury. Wrist felt good but got some nice wrist blisters.

Richard: My best and only 500m Row attempt was 1.29.5. I think its in my log somewhere. Guess your doing this tomorrow, i think you will do well with your 40 plus max.

Re: A Bears Tale

Woohoo, NICE !

I went to the gym right after school and did the WOD anyway because I have a big party on Saturday, I can have the rest day on Sunday then. You're going to be fired up, I'm winning for 5 seconds

I'm glad you're back on the rings, your wrist is completely better now ?

Back at it tomorrow, I'm in for a winning streak this time

Re: A Bears Tale

Friday 25th April 2008

DEADLIFT 3-3-3-3-3

140K X 3 / 160K X 3 / 170K X 2 tweaked lower back stopped.
Nothing too bad but done deads couple of days ago and decided my body was telling me something.

More Ring Practice especially trying to hold that False Grip with a dead hang!! So difficult but coming along.

Richard: I cannot type what i shouted when i read your Angie score!! . I too timed my pull-ups and they took 7 mins exactly. I should of broke them down better into sets of 10, but instead i tried for my total kipping reps record on the first set and got it 23!!

I Guess your not going to do the DEADLIFT 3-3-3-3-3 the day after 2-2-2-2-2? PS, Nice OHS pic, i think your loving them lately!!

Re: A Bears Tale

Dammit, you did the deadlifts anyway. Good thing that you stopped. I didn't want to do them today after my doubles yesterday, it'd be nonsense. This is why I want to do the WOD one day behind, it's easier to plan. But lately, it seems that there's less metcon and more strength work on a regular basis.

Scott, I jumped when I saw that I shaved off 5 seconds !

The most effective must be the sets of 10 yes. I started with 20, then it was all 10s and 5s at the very end.

Let's just call today a no contest, I hope tomorrow will be spicy !

15 reps at 90k ! you got some serious pressing strength, I'm jealous.

I told you this WOD was going to make you sweat, snatches + 400m are a killer combo

Good, I'm glad I could put some balance in our matches, you've had too many wins lately haha. Next triple will be fun :stir:

PS : how is your shoulder feeling on the OHS, no more numbness ? Nice progression !
