+ 20 lbs, that's a sick time ! Seems like you're definitely improving on your pull-ups mate, excellent

Why are my exams during the super killer WOD weeks ? Dammit !!!

Re: A Bears Tale

Scott, I can't believe you threw yourself at that with the 20lb vest. Man. Awesome!!!

Indeed your pull-ups must be coming along very nicely, I'll look forward to seeing some performance metrics on those in the next couple weeks.

Sunday 25th May 2008

FRONT SQUAT
- 60K X 8 / 70K X 6 / 80K X 5 / 90K X 5 / 100K X 2 TWICE

Followed this with Thruster practice at Fran weight trying to get breathing right. Still not quite right, so hard to breathe on thrusters.

SQUAT CLEAN

40K X 5 / 60K X 4 / 70K X 3 pr / 75k FAIL

Just some active rest practice for my weak areas.

Monday 26th May 2008

JASON

100 Squats
5 Muscle Ups
75 Squats
10 Muscle Ups
50 Squats
15 Muscle Ups
25 Squats
20 Muscle Ups for time = 19.07.71

First time with this one, very enjoyable though slightly wrong to be doing Muscle Ups x 50 two days before my two hour ring training class!!

Pistol Progression Training
Managed some negatives which ended up with me just rolling onto my back at the bottom. Left leg nearly got one deep enough but right leg needs some balance work.

Also done some Front Lever work and L-sit work. Managing to point one leg out at a time with the front lever. Can hold the L-sit now on fingers for about 15 seconds.

19 minutes looks lightning fast to me ! I have to give it a shot right now at home !

I hope you'll be fresh for your ring class at least mate.

Tuesday 27th May

WOD

Run 1 mile - 6.18
With a continous running clock do 2 mins on each of the following exercises:

Double Unders - 38
15K DB Thruster - 16
Pull-ups - 27

Everytime i went to do the PU's someone got in my way, my hands where wet with sweat, anyway its a Killer WOD so no excuses. I hate DB thrusters.

Re: A Bears Tale

Cheers Domonic, that row hurt a lot, I was trying to get under 6.50 and had my eyes shut for the last minute!!!

BIRTHDAY RING TRAINING. THINGS LEARNT
1. Your Core is 70% of your power
2. HSPU's are best done facing the wall (or no wall)
3. Gymnasts (even 5 year olds) are incredibly strong
4. DH Muscle ups are more fun.
Also drills to remember:
Chicken wing dips
Hollow Rocks (lower back must always touch floor, so no gap at all).
Bring palms out to face forward when balancing on rings. Found this harder than doing DH Muscle ups. Wrist needs rest now as its almost down to the bone!!

Congrats on the shoulder press man !

Your ring class looked like fun ! I'm glad you're doing the mature hold on the rings, have you tried dips with your palms like that ? It's a KILLER !!!

So wait a minute, HSPU facing the wall, how do you do when you reach failure or lose balance ? You just roll ?

As for the DL max, I'll do it in the week of June 16th, probably Wednesday the 18th This will be a battle mate !
