".....and so, the young Steadman walked purposefully to the rings slung below the steps in the land of men wearing skirts. All around were the war cries of bonny lads and lasses, with the lone gladiator of convict isle."

"You WILL grind and you WILL NOT come down for at least 5 seconds" came the inspirational coaching words of Mr Beck.

....."The Skinny One, adjusted his false grip and re-adjusted several time before hoisting himself skywards towards the circles that had been for so long a tormenting symbol of his lack of gymnastic prowess. And he did stay there on the rings making only noises heard normally at the laying of cable. Suddenly the doofus boy found himself jutting his exceptionally large chin forwards and lo......he rolled into the support! With this revelation finally registering in the lad's tiny mind, he did thrust towards heaven and acheived the goal of soooooo many months, the famed muscle up - the 'A' move of gymnastics, but this did not deter the boy from throwing his shirt above his noggin and running off into the distance.........never to be seen again......"

Well, until Julie cracked one out on her first attempt and the young Steadman was to be found crying in the corner!

Thanks to Mark for his coaching, Davie for a great opening day, Kempie and everyone else for the motivation and finally........

Julie, the first British woman i am aware of to do a muscle up! CONGRATULATIONS!

Karl
