Clean & Jerks have been feeling great lately. I'm really getting some good pop on the jerks. I hope this trend continues. HSPUs felt good too. I maintained a nice steady pace on the WOD - everything was unbroken. Situps sucked! haha! I felt pretty dumpy all day but took some Advil and had a nap and I think that helped.

I've been sweeping drywall dust all day and have a total of 2 meals into me, so I really wasn't expecting much from this session. Surprisingly deadlifts felt fast and strong - and I think this is a PR for 2RM. Energy started to fade so I decided to call it a day.

Was thinking all day that I had to deadlift 300...I was not pleasantly surprised when I realized I had to do 305. I was however pleasantly surprised with how they felt. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than last week. No WOD tonight, I'm saving myself for the 8 hour adventure race tomorrow. It's gonna be fun.

Squats felt good, but I had a mishap at 460. Walkout was off and lost balance forward. Got jammed into the rack and had to reset. Second walkout was much better and the rep was easy. Metcon did not feel comfortable - just couldn't get a deep breath from the first 10 deadlifts. Now for the excuses ... slept about 2.5 hours last night, fighting a bad cold, painted all day, low on food/water, and just before the workout I stepped on a hard piece of cat food ... RIGHT ON the nail wound. I know, I know, suck it up. Just an overall bad day.

I'm surprised at how well everything went tonight. I have no soreness from Saturday but I noticed my hips were tired as soon as I started squatting and I'm still congested. We ran out of time at 6:30 and had to do the metcon with the 7:30 crew. That was fun!! Drew, I could hear you encouraging me near the end - thanks! Everything was unbroken except the one set of overhead squats when I dropped the kettlebell on my head. LOL! And I thought I had a headache before the workout started. haha! Hence the reason for ACTIVE SHOULDERS!

Bench felt pretty good. I thought about taking it easy this week since things are so hectic right now and this damn cold/sinusitis is really hanging on - but I couldn't resist my most favourite workout in the world...running. haha!! It was a weird night. Clean & jerks felt great...but I got scared and failed on my first attempt at 130 and then pretty much nailed my second attempt. HSPUs felt ok - but I did my last set after the WOD and just didn't have much juice left. haha! I'm ok with my score for the WOD but not happy at all with my snatch technique - it's horrible!!

At the end of the 7:30 class the boys were showing off with their muscleups so I had to give it a try too. I haven't done a max effort since Cuba (over 2 years ago) and haven't done many muscleups at all in the last few months. I was stiff and not letting myself get down low enough for a full kip. 8 is two below my PR but still pretty good.

13 consecutive muscleups

Bench press felt solid. I should be high 300's by the time nationals roll around. The metcon felt okay, couldn't get a deep breath during the workout, still dealing with the cold. Recovery was a bit slow. Overall happy with it though. Haven't done max rep muscleups for a couple of years - one below my PR - I'll take it.

Well, after moving almost 7000 pounds of mats today I wasn't sure how heavy deadlifts would fare. I got warm, lifted a few sets to mid 500's, and then decided to play safe and call it early. Just completely exhausted ... can't wait for this move to be over!
