Anthony (M/31/170) Deadlifts 305x2 360x2 415x2 470x2 525x2 550x2 I've been sweeping drywall dust all day and have a total of 2 meals into me, so I really wasn't expecting much from this session. Surprisingly deadlifts felt fast and strong - and I think this is a PR for 2RM. Energy started to fade so I decided to call it a day. |

Jodi (F/31/112) CFWUx1 Deadlifts 170x2 200x2 230x2 260x2 260x2 305x2 Was thinking all day that I had to deadlift 300...I was not pleasantly surprised when I realized I had to do 305. I was however pleasantly surprised with how they felt. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than last week. No WOD tonight, I'm saving myself for the 8 hour adventure race tomorrow. It's gonna be fun. |

Anthony (M/31/168) Box Squats 255x1 300x1 345x1 390x1 435x1 460x1 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps of: Kettlebell Deadlift Kettlebell Swing Kettlebell Overhead Squat Time: 6:32 Squats felt good, but I had a mishap at 460. Walkout was off and lost balance forward. Got jammed into the rack and had to reset. Second walkout was much better and the rep was easy. Metcon did not feel comfortable - just couldn't get a deep breath from the first 10 deadlifts. Now for the excuses ... slept about 2.5 hours last night, fighting a bad cold, painted all day, low on food/water, and just before the workout I stepped on a hard piece of cat food ... RIGHT ON the nail wound. I know, I know, suck it up. Just an overall bad day. |

I have no soreness from Saturday but I noticed my hips were tired as soon as I started squatting and I'm still congested. We ran out of time at 6:30 and had to do the metcon with the 7:30 crew. I thought about taking it easy this week since things are so hectic right now and this damn cold/sinusitis is really hanging on - but I couldn't resist my most favourite workout in the world...running. haha!! I knew I'd be slower than last time but I was surprised to only be 7 seconds slower. |

Jodi (F/31/112ish) CFWUx1 Clean & Jerk 70x1 85x1 100x1 110x1 120x1 130x1 HSPUx6 HSPUx6 HSPUx5 HSPUx5 HSPUx4 AMRAP in 6 minutes of: 6 Snatch Grip Deadlift, 65 pounds 6 Power Snatch, 65 pounds Score: 6 Rounds + 6 Sn Gr DL + 2 snatches Muscleups x 8 It was a weird night. Clean & jerks felt great...but I got scared and failed on my first attempt at 130 and then pretty much nailed my second attempt. ![]() At the end of the 7:30 class the boys were showing off with their muscleups so I had to give it a try too. I haven't done a max effort since Cuba (over 2 years ago) and haven't done many muscleups at all in the last few months. I was stiff and not letting myself get down low enough for a full kip. 8 is two below my PR but still pretty good. ![]() |

Anthony (M/31/168) Bench Press (paused) 175x1 210x1 240x1 270x1 305x1 320x1 AMRAP in 6 minutes of: 6 Snatch Grip Deadlift, 95 pounds 6 Power Snatch, 95 pounds Score: 10 rounds + 2 deadlifts 13 consecutive muscleups Bench press felt solid. I should be high 300's by the time nationals roll around. The metcon felt okay, couldn't get a deep breath during the workout, still dealing with the cold. Recovery was a bit slow. Overall happy with it though. Haven't done max rep muscleups for a couple of years - one below my PR - I'll take it. ![]() |

Anthony (M/31/169) Well, after moving almost 7000 pounds of mats today I wasn't sure how heavy deadlifts would fare. I got warm, lifted a few sets to mid 500's, and then decided to play safe and call it early. Just completely exhausted ... can't wait for this move to be over! |
