Re: Eugene Allen's Birthday Pullup Challenge

Eugene,

Count me in as well. My current PR is 5 deadhang (still working on the kip). I went from none 2 months to my current 5 so in another month I should be able to go for 15. I am 39 yrs old.

Thanks,
Lin

Re: Eugene Allen's Birthday Pullup Challenge

My wife wants to join the challenge.
She still can't get her chin over the bar. Her kipping form is coming along (our WOD was Helen last night, and I watched her while she did one round of pull-ups), but she still only gets about her hairline/forehead clear of the bar.

Erin Dunston - age 33, goal 1.

I'm pulling for you baby!

Re: Eugene Allen's Birthday Pullup Challenge

I'm in for this competition, even if I only have a month left. Current PR is either 12 or 15 (why can't I remember which?) so I'll shoot for 21. If I happen to surpass 20 during the next two weeks cause of the fact my kipping is starting to less spastic and more useful, I'll bump it up to my age which is 27.

Re: Eugene Allen's Birthday Pullup Challenge

Here's where we are so far...63 people have chimed in to proclaim their pullup prowess. The numbers range from 1 to over 60 and if all of us do as many as we are shooting for the 63 of us will have done 1,969 pullups which is an average of 31 pullups per person. Betcha can't find 63 random people in any other population who could lay claim to those numbers.

Keep pulling everyone. The 27th is closing in on us. Susie and Erin...shock the world and get that kip and you will sail up to the bar with more than your projection. Ahmik...where are you? Your good for over 60...come help boost the curve.
