Ear issue?
Occasionally after WODs on of my ears feels as if there is water in it. It is difficult to hear out of it and feels like i need to "pop" it by opening and closing mouth. i know this description is a bit confusing but if you know what i am talking about and have experienced similar issues or know why this occurs i'd greatly appreciate it.

Re: Ear issue?
I know what you're talking about, this happens to me sometimes too and it's quite annoying. However I have no idea why it happens or how to prevent it, hopefully someone has the answer.

Re: Ear issue?
It is possible to change the air pressure in your inner ear when you are straining hard to do things. So it's likely this occurs during the workout.. then you just notice the effects afterwards.
If it persists or worsens you may want to see doc about that. |

Re: Ear issue?
happens to me too. No big deal, I always figured it's normal. It goes away in a few minutes or maybe 1/2 hour.
Never gotten it from heavy lifting as steven suggested, it's always been from metcon-ish stuff. Especially if I'm outside and it's cold. |

Re: Ear issue?
I get this too. Usually when the workout is particularly challenging for me. I went to the Dr. and he had no idea. Mine get "stuffy" during the workout and stay that way for sometimes hours following. I can't hear well, so end up yelling. Really would like to get to the bottom of it. Same ear all the time.

Re: Ear issue?
It is just an imbalance in the pressures in your middle ear space and outside (atmospheric). Probably has to do with bearing down. Possibly aggravated by allergies, upper respiratory infection. As long as it resolves and hearing is normal, probably nothing to worry about.
