I was really excited about this one. I was doing my ME day as 8x1 weighted pull-ups. I did 25#, 35#, 55#, and said to myself "This is way too easy." So I jumped to 85#, and cleared the bar (barely)

My next attempt, 75# failed. Considering my previous record was 65#, I wasn't too worried about it. Now if I could just increase my pull-up count...

Another quick testimony: Since starting CrossFit, the veins on my arms have bulged. On two separate occasions, I've had a female medical professional (an EMT and a nurse) tell my I have "beautiful" veins for IVs. Any one else have that happen?

Good Job! My last PR in chin ups was 75#, which is actually the highest weight I can use by current means. What do you weigh?

Thanks.
Derek, I'm about 210lbs. Nice job on the 75# pull-up.

David, glad to know it wasn't just me.

Have a great weekend.

Last time a nurse told me I had nice veins, she promptly hit a valve and had to do it all over again anyway....

Yep. I've had nurses comment on my veins. Unfortunately, I don't really like the bulging vein look - is this something people really want?

Prominent veins are apparently easy to draw blood from because you don't have to search for the vein.

Win,

vascularity is important among bodybuilders...but let's not go into that.

from a functional fitness perspective: apart from muscle definition, i think vascularity is one of the indicators of a reduction in %BF, which is desirable, for most people.

I think my veins are just kind of a part of how I am built. Of course, I also have a good metabolism, so maybe it is a result of low bodyfat.
