I've been riding for close to 4 years now, Karl; I've only come off the bike once, and that's because (believe it or not) my wife rear-ended me!

It's a dangerous world out there...

Don,

I'm with you mate, my best crash was an altercation with a lorry! knocked me flying at a roundabout......as i bounced my noggin off the kerb and smashed my knee to smithereens all i could think of was there's my lovely bike getting all its pretty paint job ripped off!

Crazy how we work hey?

Oh yeah i was ****ed at the state of my jacket too!

Pete, mate, sorry it was indeed you and i bow down to your musical taste! It was a good call indeed (trying to redeem myself after the earlier choice of tune.......did anyone notice? :uhoh:)

Pat!

That is a lucky riding career fella! My first ever instructor said to me "expect to come off at least 3 times through no fault of your own" and his best piece of advice was "just assume everyone else on the road is a complete arse and you'll do ok...."

In terms of nearest and dearest and their causes of accidents. Only story i have is a mate who was riding pillion and decided to stick their legs out to stretch them whilst i was doing about 120mph........i'll leave the ensuing conversation to your imagination!

Yeah, I've not done too bad.

Only the one near miss apart from that; a car side-swiped me in inner-city commuter traffic (approx 80km/h) and by some minor miracle I kept it upright.

I should probably put this in Testimonials, but when my wife hit me from behind, my bike went straight down, but I managed to jump into the air, clear of the bike and land on my feet. Annie, my wife, reckons it was spectacular to watch. You never know when a fit and healthy body can help you out.

A bit of Primal Scream might be nice for a bit more of an uplifting vibe - I'm thinking "Together as One", "Moving on Up" or "Loaded"...

Karl, thanks for the props dude!

Stone Roses - especially "This is the one"

I'll also second
Joy Division/New Order
The Jam
The Clash

Anyone remember The Wedding Present?
obviously The Specials need to be in there too.
