Hand pain when going overhead

Ok. I decided to split this into a separate post. Longer than the shoulder pain has been the hand pain problem with thrusters, overhead squats and presses (less with this). I get a pain, more in my left hand than the right, in the meaty area just below the thumb on the palm side. It feels like my hand is literally tearing inside and it burns. Stretching before by taking my thumbs through a range of motion helps. Sometimes it's ok, other days it's unbearable.

If I turn my hand so my fingers point down to the ground and put the palm side of my hand against a wall and push forward to try and stretch I can reproduce the pain. The thumb is not touching at this point.

No real injuries here, just 10 years of working 10 hours a day on a computer.

Any thoughts? Any suggestions for what types of therapies might help here?

Hey i get the same pain, i just got used to it, but sometimes itll come back to hurt me after a big ohs day or snatch day

Sounds like median nerve... maybe the start of carpal tunnel.

Strengthen your posterior side of the forearm (extensors) & stretch out the anterior (flexors). Deep tissue massage... myofascial release and cross friction would probably be good.

Also, you might wanna cut out any grains/gluten and also nightshades. Garrett Smith and Robb Wolf have had some success with some of their clients who have nerve irritation by eliminating these from their diet.
