Powerlifting Meet

More posting these for fun, but if you see any points, I'm always looking for improvement.

Squat:

375 opener
400 - http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y35...rent=004-2.mp4
410 final squat - http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y35...urrent=108.mp4

Bench:

245 opener (very easy)
260 missed
265 - http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y35...rent=008-2.mp4

Deadlift

405 opener
425 - http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y35...rent=009-2.mp4
445 - not sure where the video is. If I find it, I'll post it.

Re: Powerlifting Meet

Great work. They all looked easy and pretty sound technically too.

On the squat, more of a question than a critique, the bar looks a little high on your back for a LBBS, is it comfy there? If so, no worries from me.

On the bench, make sure your shoulders are locked in place and you upper arm is locked into the shoulder joint. At the end, I thought maybe you overextended a tad.

Re: Powerlifting Meet

nice numbers! What federation? Mighty quick bench - most feds require a pause on the chest a "press" command (and a singlet, but that's beside the point).

I actually HBBS. My bench is my worst power lift. Definitely needs work. Thanks for the tip.

It was unsanctioned (sp?). Put on by the OSU weightlifting club. Just for fun among students and faculty. The bench was a touch-and-go, which was nice. My friend Joey won bench with 360. He just barely missed 380.

And forgot to mention, BW was 176.8 at weigh-ins.
