New England Throwdown.

On March 7th you'll have the chance to Breathe Fire and Raise Hell....

Are you competing in Albany this spring? Do you think you are one of the fittest athletes in the North East? Want to see what the competition looks like?
CrossFit New England is hosting the first New England Throwdown.
We will do 2-3 events (12 minute cap on each event), scaling is allowed, and of course there will refreshments (byob) after the event.
There will be a $10 entry fee, and the top male and female athletes will take home cash.

More details to follow, but for now...save the date.

Re: New England Throwdown.

We will be doing 3 wods.
1. Heavier Metcon.
2. Lighter more running/bodyweight based metcon.
3. Combo of the above 2.

Events will be 1-2 hours apart.
Scoring for each event will be as follows:
1st = 100 pts,
2nd = 95 pts
3rd = 90 pts
4th = 89 pts
5th = 88 pts
and so on.... Highest total score after all three events wins.

We have created a list of 15-20 workouts for each category, and the wods will be pick from a hat the day of the competition. Our goal is to have the fittest athlete win the competition, the specialist will be punished.

Come and get some.

I will post more details soon.

Re: New England Throwdown.

What kind of turnout are you expecting/predicting? Have many people shown interest?

I'm just curious because it's a little bit of a trip for me.

Thanks a lot.
