There's that carb coma thing again. I've never experienced it. Hmmm, maybe I'm just used to them.

Maybe. Try cutting out all processed stuff for awhile, then have a meal with a good amount of that junk in it. That is what I did and I definitely noticed it more. I don't so much want to go to sleep when I eat a load of carbs, it's just that my energy levels die after two hours or so of the meal and I want to sit around and do nothing. However, when I had a burger and fries two weeks ago (first time in four years), I felt fine afterward...so I don't know. The body is too complex.

Kenny, sounds awesome.

I have a sort-of confession to make - egg substitute? They haven't been having hard boiled eggs at the chow hall here lately. Just the liquid crap that has water dripping off of the "eggs". I ate a bunch of it with a **** ton of salt on it. I probably should have eaten a tuna packet instead.

Re: Dietary Confessions of a Crossfitter

Ya I was shooting for the whole thing since I knew I had to throw it away afterwards (to tempting for the wife since she is on a monthlong no cheat diet) but I'm still happy with the results. This was actually a wierd cheat night for me I am off the GOMAD (see post in testimonials thread) and normally my cheat would have largely incorporated icecream and milk with the cookies but Iam going to cut out the dairy(for a while at least) so I had to figure out what would make me miserably happy without it......tuff work but Imanaged

Exclamation Re: Dietary Confessions of a Crossfitter

NECRO POST!

Ok. So. I'm in Iraq, I'm eating as Paleo/zoneish as I can. It's tough when they steam all the veggies wayy too long and offer only fresh tomato, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and spinach on a regular basis if the trucks run on time that is.

The fruit is the same story, we have apples most of the time, sometimes bananas, pears, and grapes. SOMETIMES we have fresh pineapple, hopefully it's ripe and not white when you do get it.

Anyways. There is ALWAYS a supply of pies, cookies, icecream, fried food, soda, etc...

SO this is tough for me.

I just read through most of these posts and I miss American junk food / bad for me foods sooo much! I can't wait to go back and pig out. I'm gonna have a cheat WEEK to make up for all the time I've been strict here.

Anyways. Just wanted to rant and confess I ate some (a bite size) chocolate today.
