Nate

I noticed that no one else posted anything about this workout. . .Does that
mean everyone found it as hard as I did? I want to know how I compare. I've only been with Crossfit a couple of months.

In 20 minutes I got:
8 rounds
and
2 muscleups and 1 handstand pushup

How did everyone else do?

Re: Nate

I managed to get my first muscle-up demoing this WOD for the rest of the guys.

I did mostly assisted muscle-ups (+ the few on my own). I managed a total of 5 or 6 on my first muscle-up day. I made the muscle-ups as hard as possible on the assisted.

The handstands were again as hard as I can make it. Hands shoulder width. Elbows in like on a french press.

The swings were easy. I am an RKC. Had lots of practice on swings. The guys tell me I am cheating doing this drill.

Managed 10 rounds.

Very, very anaerobic.

Then the lovely sit in the truck for 4 hours wearing my armor.

It was a tough one.

Marc

Re: Nate

7 rds plus two muscle-ups plus one HSPU

I have a strong opinion about excuses, but I will just say that next time this comes up I will blow that score out of the water. I saw at least one guy who posted 20 rounds. That is hardcore. I think I could get close to that within the year if I stay faithful to the WOD though.

I have a theory that new workouts take a bit of time to allow good scores. Folks need to learn what is possible and figure out how to game it. Kind of like how after Bannister broke 4 minutes and then everyone else did. I have a feeling that we CrossFitters are kind of similar. Once we see someone else do something we think "shoot, I bet I could do that." Make sense? Or am I a raving looney toon?
