This vehicle will be on the California roads.
It is this woman's tribute to her son and his fellow Marines. "Karla Comfort received a lot of looks and even some salutes from people when she drove from Benton, Ark., to Camp Pendleton, Calif., in her newly-painted, custom Hummer H3 March 2. The vehicle is adorned with the likeness of! her son, 20-year-old Lance Cpl. John M. Holmason, and nine other Marines with F Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division who where all killed by the same improvised explosive device blast in Fallujah, Iraq, in December 2005. For Karla Comfort, having the vehicle air brushed with the image of the 10 Marines was a way to pay homage to her hero and his fellow comrades who fell on Iraq's urban battlefield." http://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/3499/25184.jpghttp://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/3499/25185.jpg |

Nice Frank. I saw that report on CNN when it first came out and thought it was absolutely wonderful. I'm from a Marine family myself. In fact I have a niece that is going to Parris Island this month. She will be flying out on the same day she graduates from high school. She will literally have a diploma in one hand and a plane ticket in the other. Talk about cutting it close or as they say in the corps..."Danger Close!" Here is another link about the same marine mom. Scroll down to the article titled "Please Pray For This Brave Mom!"

Thanks, Peter, that is a great link!
I know all our veterans need our support during this dangerous time we are in. Regardless of whether or not someone is in favor of the war, our troops need and deserve our loyalty. |

"...our troops need and deserve our loyalty."
My feelings exactly. Frank: I found that video news clip about the marine mom tribute off of CBS' video archive. The article is on the left and the video is on the right.."A Moving Tribute." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1414176.shtml |
