Knee brace?

I'm having a lot of swelling on my left knee. No pain, just really swollen with fluid and tight. I'm thinking I need to wear a knee brace on that knee at my next WOD, but I don't see many people wearing gear like that at Crossfit. Just wanted to bounce this off you folks.

Re: Knee brace?

I just want to say first that i have no idea about the swelling being harmful or not, or that wearing the knee brace with help with it. But several people at my gym wear the neoprene looking knee braces any day they may be doing squats or heavy cleans or c & j type stuff. I say give em a shot and if they help stabilize the joints or help with the swelling then its a win win.

Re: Knee brace?

David, in hindsight things are now obvious to me that were not so obvious back in the day. I've led and still enjoy a very physically active life and physically demanding careers. But after 5 knee surgeries the most recent was total knee replacement. I would get it checked out

Re: Knee brace?

Okay. I'm going to the doctor today. I'm just afraid he will tell me to quit CF. I've been charging hard in CF for several weeks now and I don't want to lose momentum. But I know a bad injury will end my momentum entirely.
