Re: Pendlay Elite Bars

Glenn,

Thanking you so much for posting the results of your test.

But I have got to tell you: seeing those two beautiful bars sitting there all covered in rust almost made me cry....

Thumbs up Re: Pendlay Elite Bars

Got my Pendlay Elite and Pendlay Weightlifting bars the other day and I have been able to put them through a good test drive. Very high quality bars and I'm very pleased with my purchase. The only thing I didn't like about them was the knurling. The knurling on my old bars was just as comfortable but a bit more secure.
You definitely know you have a good bar when the sleeves are machined like these Pendlay bars and not made from a casting. If you want a bar that will last for just about forever, I think this is just about the most important feature on a good bar. You absolutely cannot top these bars for quality at any price.

Re: Pendlay Elite Bars

see, that's why I stay away from farming.

Scott,
Would you describe in more detail the knurling? What brand are your old bars you are referring to?

Ahmik,

I'm actually going to make it in again tomorrow. You just gave me added incentive to drag myself out of bed that early. See you in the AM.

Re: Pendlay Elite Bars

The bar is awesome. The knurling is great and it spins really well. The finish is beautiful. The whip is really amazing. even with light weight you can feel the spring.

Our clients were fighting over it all day. We were doing snatches today and one guy hovered over it for 15 minutes to be sure that he would get to lift with it.

I will post pictures in a few minutes.
