OK, Hang Squat Clean?

I don't see a video for this particular iteration... anyone feel like explaining it to me so I do it right?

heck this out. It's just a clean that starts from the hang instead of the floor. Squat cleans are the default.

Re: OK, Hang Squat Clean?

I've searched the posts for information on subbing dumbbells in this movement -- I have no access to an oly bar/weights/etc. -- but have only found very basic information, like "yes, you can sub dumbbells."

The movement doesn't seem conducive to subbing dumbbells, however. For example, the final wrist position -- there's no way to support the lift with the shoulders if you use dumbbells.

Can anyone with experience/advice on such a substitution chime in? Many, many thanks.

Re: OK, Hang Squat Clean?

I can't get to youtube here at work, and the JAVA version is not compatible and I don't want to update my work machine....

Can anyone describe this to me? I am pretty familiar with the various movements, so I think I can get it from a description. I work out around 10:00EST....If not, I will have to make up something!

I will do some googling in the meantime...

Thanks!

Dwayne

Thanks for the replies folks.... I guess if I would've thought about it for more than a second, I wouldn't have wasted your time. Sorry.

Yeah. The only stupid questions are those posted under comments on the main page.

You know, I haven't been on here or doing crossfit for long, but I've been amazed at how helpful people are here when you have a question. It's great to feel that this Crossfit "community" is truly just that.
