Looking at purchasing a pair of fitness rings for the garage gym. How long are the straps? If hang them on an 8 - 9 foot high pull up bar, will they reach the ground for push up exercises?

Any difference in length between powermax and elite rings straps?

Thanks

Scott,
The straps on the Elite Rings are 16 feet long, so you have 8 feet to work with, plus the 9" diameter of the ring itself. So, yes, you will be able to set them above the ground to do pushups. That was one of my design parameters.
You can see a few examples of ring pushups here: http://www.ringtraining.com/pages/ar...100pushups.htm
I hope this helps,
Tyler

Scott,
I do ship to Canada via USPS at actual cost (no additional handling fees). There aren't any discounts right now.

To add on to the discussion here regarding the use of rings, I'd like to ask how the rings are attached to the overhead bar.

I would like to add rings to my routine, but I have limited vertical space, and my most likely attachment point would be the pull-up bar at my gym. How can I attach the rings to a pullup bar? Are the attachments easy to secure and remove?

Patrick,
It's really easy to attach and detach the rings. You just put the strap over the bar, run it through the buckle and then adjust the height with the buckle. It takes a minute or two to get them set up.
At my apartment gym, there is a C2 rower next to the otherwise useless Smith machine "squat" rack. And there are some dumbbells nearby so I do a lot of circuits using ring pushups, ring rows, dips and either rowing or a DB exercise.
Best of luck with your workouts,
Tyler

Thanks Scott, I received your order and will ship them out on Tuesday. It's a holiday on Monday, so I'm sorry it can't be sooner.
