Question Two clients light headed

Two of my clients are now experiencing this. Not just during the WOD, but the rest of the time also. They are in the last week of an OnRamp 4 week program.

They are quite different in makeup:

Client #1
Low BP. High BF %.
No vitamin/iron supplement.
Low water intake.
Avg diet.

Client #2
Avg BP. Low BF%.
Takes supplements.
Drinks adequate water.
Healthy diet maybe low in fat.

Any ideas/advice?

Thanks.

Re: Two clients light headed

Client #1 ... not properly hydrating can definitely cause low BP. Low BP can cause light headedness in physical activity..

Client #2 is a bit vague.

Really you need more information than this to flesh out possibly causes. If they're really worried about it they should see a doctor

Sounds like dehydration but also, how far in between workouts and meals?

Re: Two clients light headed

Yes, I know I should get more detailed info. One is seeing her doctor tomorrow.Thanks.

It worried me that both of them were having it and them being so different.
I was concerned it was something I was doing. The workouts have been three times a week and open air, so, pretty hot and humid.

Re: Two clients light headed

With hot humid weather, dehydration could definitely be an issue for Client #1.

For Client #2, I might look at things like glycogen depletion. If the diet is low in fat and carbs, and they have low bf% to begin with, and they're working harder than normal because of the weather, then I can see how they might just not have enough fuel.

If it were just during workouts, I would ask if they were remembering to breathe, but that's probably not the issue the rest of the time.

Thanks Katherine.
I had advised water to the one and some good fat to the other. Turns out both took the advise and the issue seems to be resolved.
Thanks to all who took the time to answer my post!
