Finding it hard to put on just a lil weight.

I have a question... i think.

Im 5'11'' and usually between 155-160lbs, 24 yrs old. On a day where im not rushed for time i will take in a lil over 3000cals, around 50-55% fat, 20-25% carbs and prots. My problem at the moment is i would like to sit around 160-165 lbs, but i can not seem to gain weight for the life of me.

Im assuming that since on a good day im eating 3000+ calories that i would need closer to 3500 or 4000 to be gaining wieght? I also realize that if i stray from the amount i need to take in to gain that i will probably lose it due to me incredible metabolism.

Any suggestions on what would help me is thanked. Ill also attach my fitday log.

P.S. I know that as of the past couple days my eating habits have been a little off, filling in blanks with milk and olive oil. So try not tear me apart to bad. Basically i didnt plan ahead enough and ran out of certain groceries towards the end of the week.

Just like losing weight, it is simple. You know what to do, there is no magic.

I do not need to read your food log... You are not eating enough!

Try 5,000 cals a day until you are at 165, ease off to 4,000 and see if you maintain 160-65. As in losing weight it needs to be important enough for you to do right even when busy. Carry bags of nuts, hardboiled eggs, when I was younger I ate a lot of peanut butter sandwiches (but I stopped eating grains some time ago)

I'm in the same boat Tim, except I'm 145lbs. Just keep increasing your calorie intake until you start gaining weight, then ease off once you reach your goal.

I'm eating 2500 just to maintain my 5'8" 135 lbs.. which is probably near my optimal weight since my stomach doesn't want to handle anymore food even though I'm trying to stretch it.

Eat more.
