Chris,
You can try the exercise index at elitefts.com (WFS) for grip and forearm strength. Also read anything on that site by Jim Smith. Try dieselcrew.com (WFS), this site is also run by Jim Smith and his lifting crew, lots of grip strength work, blob holds, plate pinches, grippers, odd object lifting, sledge hammer levering, alot of things to challenge the grip. Ironmind.com (WFS) would also have ideas about grip trainning.

Less than a month in and i can now overhand 455 for three without grip worries. hoping for an Ides of March 500, raw.
an ides of march? is that like when I did 3 sets of 15 with your 1RM?

just kidding chef.

but how much do you weigh again?
me pull 379 at 155lbs. You pull 500 at ???

And if you can hit a triple with 455, you can definitely pull 500lbs. If you haven't yet, you aren't trying hard enough!

let's stay in touch !

First things first, Master Hahn,

You: 'strong as hell'.
Me: Big lumbering knucklehead working on 'strong as heck' ...

... currently 225lbs, so 500 should be a walk in the park, but it's been years... and yes, it would be easier if I actually grew a set. On a postive note, I did snatch 175 up for 2 the other day, the only reason I bailed on the 185 was aformentioned lack of 'set'. I got the 185 up as a muscle snatch, so its just a matter of confidence to get it down low. Cant wait to get a really big snatch.

Re: My .02 on COC Grippers...

There are all different types of gripping strength so one does not necessarily translate into the other very well. I have similiar numbers to you and was able to rep a 1 the first time I tried it and closed a 2 with my right and almost closed it with my left the same day. I know I saw someone else that said they had similiar numbers but a closing the trainer was a 1RM.

If you have the money get the T for warmups and work on the 1 and 2. Otherwise if you only have money for 1 I'd say stick with the T or 1.

If money is not a problem, you could get Davin Horne's Vulcan Gripper.http://www.davidhorne-gripmaster.com/

One gripper with settings from a trainer (or lower if you use rubber bands) to a 4 plus. You can also micro-load using bands or weaker springs.
