Re: Clydesdales in the Open

5'8, 225
14.1 325
14.2 137, plan on doing this again as I did it all UB and burned out.

I hope there are some heavy weights soon. All this light weight is making me feel weak.

Re: Clydesdales in the Open

6'2" 224# and 36 years old, long arms and legs don't really help in the OPEN

I just want to see some Wall Balls. 300 Wall balls would be the best Open WOD ever for me.

235 in 14.1, I just got double unders down in the last few weeks more, and 3 days after 14.1 I did a wod with 10 rounds of 30 dubs, went unbroken through 5 and still did good on last 5 rounds. 300 dubs RX is good for me

A slow and painful 79 reps at 14.2 this AM, pullups threw a wrench as expected.

If they program 300 WB for 14.3, I will drive to T-town myself and punch you in the face.!

Just kidding.

Re: Clydesdales in the Open

being that this Thread is for "Big Guys" and many of us have some height.

What are your thoughts on the OPEN not being big guy friendly?

as we have had two workouts with 4 movements, everything has favored a smaller lighter athlete.

With no Running, Kettle Bells, and Rowing in past Opens, and nothing for distance (like a OH Lunge with 45# plate for 20m), there is little or no way for a taller athlete to use our size as an advantage.

The only movement that favors a tall athlete in past Opens in Wall Balls.

Re: Clydesdales in the Open

I kind of liked this wod

Saturday I paced it pretty good... to much many may say haha. As I got no-repped on the last c2b in the 12's. Ended up with a 87 score

Yesterday I gave it a shot again. Got into the 14's and then it really sucked! My legs was wobbly and c2b was doubles and singles

Scored 110 which was my goal.
