Hey everyone!!

Been doing crossfit for about 8 months now 6 days per week

My only problem is that the next day at work im always very tired and move quite slow, my nitrition is quite good always lean meats and veggies! Paleo 80percent

My typical day consists of

Snack apple and handfull nuts and seeds
Lunch chicken breast greek salad 4oz chicken big serving of salad
WoRkout then my 25g protein shake
Dinner chicken with a huge amount of broc cauli and greek salad

Im quite lean about 5"9 63kg i think thats 140lb my pwo supp is 25grams of protein shake but my question is i want to add some carbs but inreally dont want to bulk does anyone have an idea on how much carbs i can take for recovery without adding weight??? Also what carbs is everyone taking??? Im on my way to work now legs are smashed and im almost falling asleep off 8.5 hours sleep! Help pleaseeeee anyoneeeee

Thanks

Yes, fatigue is a very common side effect of near starvation...

You need to be eating a lot more, particularly carbs and fat.

Yet another guy trying "Paleo" and eating egg whites and chicken breast... *sigh*

And then they are so quick to blame it on the lack of carbs, while they're eating a Low-Fat Diet as well.... it's starting to bother me a little bit.

Cain: you have to eat fat. Much more than you're currently eating. Do some more searching and reading.

^^^ seriously. I workout HALF as much, don't do any HIT and eat about double that a day.

replace breakfast egg white(s) with 6 whole eggs.
replace lunch 4oz of chicken breast with 8oz of chicken thigh.
Add 1 sweet potato to pwo meal.
replace dinner chicken with 8oz of steak.

See how that treats you.

5'9" and 140lbs and you're worried about bulking up? 140lbs would be about 10-20lbs underweight even for an athletic 5'9" woman.

Re: Post workout nutrition/carb intake/paleo fatigue

I'd probably start with somewhere between 25-45g of carbohydrate if you are doing Crossfit everyday. That's about 150-300grams of sweet potato (or 5-10oz ). You could also hit a banana or berries post work out.

Don't get tunnel vision though, you need to eat more over all not just PWO.

This.

Grok ate the whole egg. Along with anything else he could catch.

Pint of Breyers all natural ice cream PWO. Seriously try it. If it doesn't work let me know I will paypal you the cost of the ice cream.

I remember back in the day there used to be a giant thread on ice cream, this was before everyone started eating flowers and insects then wondered why they had no energy and looked like a runway model.
