Thanks for clearing that up Brian

I did a search on Pat the other day and on one page it stated he was looking for sponsorship to pay for training because he trains 30 hours a week and he wouldn't be disappointing any sponsor come 2012. wfs

Wasn't he a football player as well? Maybe that didn't pan out.

The current American record is 197.5 sn, 237.5 c&j, 430kg total. That would be a good start, to say the least.

Re: 19 year old American snatches 200kg, clean 230kg etc.

Ok, a couple of things:

First, on the drug testing front, I seriously doubt his fear of testing would keep him from competing. Anyone who truly believes the very top Olympic lifters are drug free year round are naive. In other words, if he uses anabolics he would be far from the only one.

Next, he makes a pretty good point. Unless you become an Olympic poster child like Phelps there is no money in those sports.

Finally, for all of the CFers that want to become better Olympic lifters please take heed of the fact he has an overabundance of BRUTE strength. His squat and bench are stupidly strong.

Oh, and for the fellow that was wondering about the bar whip, Olympic bars purposely allow for whip and thus they will move like crazy when a lot of weight is on the bar. That kid is the real deal I believe.
