My problem is with shin splints. I see alot of people saying that striking at the heel and rolling to the toe(I naturally do this)is correct. Others say to use midfoot strike(POSE) method. Is there one that is truly the correct way to run, or is it just based on what works best for the individual? Ive have recently tried the POSE method and it almost right off makes my shins hurt. Is there a lenth of time needed to get use to runnning like this?

Mid-foot is one of the most biomechanically sound ways to run. Why eliminate your ankle joint from the shock-absorbing process? Ankles and calves are present for a reason. POSE is supposedly based on the way Kenyans run, barefoot, as running is a large part of their culture. There is definitely a period of time spent getting used to that type of running, as with any new exercise.

Take off your shoes and run.

It changes everything.

Do it on a soccer field after you inspect your route for glass and other hazards.
