Though I served in the the Airborne, I have a deep respect for the Marines.
This man is one more example of why.

Thanks for posting this Jerry. Being from a Marine family myself, I can always appreciate valor above and beyond the call of duty. Rest in Peace Col Ripley as well as to all military members from all branches who have died in service to our country.

Col Ripley was the senior Marine at USNA when I was there back in the '80s. True patriot.
